Temescal Regional Recreation Area
Camp Staff will greet you and your camper(s) at the south end of the park. Please park in the South Entrance Parking lot and walk your camper up to sign them in. We will be set up between two large trees along the paved path with a Compass Rose lawn sign. Drop-off is at 9:00 AM. Pick up will be at the same location at 1:30 PM.
Safety is a top priority at Compass Rose. Both educators are experienced in working with children in an outdoor setting and maintain procedures throughout the day to create a safe experience including setting physical boundaries and expectations with the children daily and when arriving at a new location, doing routine head counts and setting limits in how the children engage with their environment. Children will always be accompanied to the restroom by a camp instructor.
All educators have undergone CPR training for infant/children and adults. Instructors will have an emergency kit with them to attend to any injuries and a cell phone to call in case of a major emergency. Please keep your emergency contact information current.
FOOD & WATER
Please provide a healthy, substantial lunch for your child that is appropriate to eat in a park setting. We ask that each child brings an adequate amount of water to keep them well hydrated throughout the day. In the event that a child in camp has a food allergy, proper precautions will be arranged.
Please dress your child appropriately for an outdoor setting, including comfortable, adventure-worthy shoes. We also recommend that you pack a set of spare clothes as our adventures can get messy! Camp will run, rain or shine.
All of the necessary medical information will be supplied at the time of registration. Any special medical concern must be communicated to the Camp Director ahead of time; please email CompassRoseBayArea@gmail.com, prior to the first day of camp. Parents of children who require an Epi-pen must supply a form signed by their child's doctor prior to the first day of the camp session they are enrolled in. If we do not receive the form, we will not be able to allow the Epi-pen at camp.
Enrollment must be completed online along with registration fees paid in full. Registration forms must be complete prior to the first day of camp. Compass Rose has the right to cancel a camp up to three weeks prior to the camp start date if a camp has less than three campers enrolled. If your camp is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.
During camp hours, April can be reached through call or text at 415-488-7554. She will do her best to respond ASAP. In the case of an emergency, please send a text to communicate the need for an immediate check-in.
